Stewart School beat DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur by 90 runs in the final to win the YMCA inter-school cricket tournament at Unit-II Girls` High School ground in Bhubaneswar today.
Subhajit Das of Stewart School was the top scorer of the match with a sparkling knock of 96. He was adjudged the player of the match as well as the player of the tournament.
Bipul Pradhan (Stewart) won the best bowler award, while the best batsman and wicketkeeper prize went to DAV School`s Ratikanta Panda, who missed a century by 10 runs.
Former city Mayor Mihir Mohanty, State Ranji bowler Deepak Mangaraj and host YMCA president Dr Swarupananda Patra gave away the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function.
Brief scores: Stewart School 277/10 in 39.2 overs (Subhajit Das 96, Susanta Mishra 47: Amlan Tripathy 3/38, Debabrat Chhatoi 3/47) beat DAV Public School 187/8 in 40 overs (Ratikanta Panda 90: Bipul Pradhan 3/29).
